NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free mental health, wellness and recovery program open to any adult (18+) experiencing a mental health challenge - no official diagnosis required. Each class is led by trained NAMI mentors who have lived with mental illness and can understand and teach about mental health recovery. This course is a valuable resource that will help you uncover what living well looks like for YOU. With new knowledge, tools and support, you can better take charge of your life and choices.
NAMI Peer-to-Peer helps you:
Set a vision and goals for the future
Partner with health care providers
Develop confidence for making decisions
Practice relaxation and stress reduction tools
Share your story
Strengthen relationships
Enhance communication skills
Learn about mental health treatment options

The 8-week course will be held in-person in Anchorage, every Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM beginning September 21st ending November 9th. Participants are expected to attend each class as each class session builds on the knowledge of previous classes. All class materials are provided.
